The Enterprise Help Desk System is implemented as a fully web based multi-tier dot net application using web services. The Client Interface portion of the application, which is what the customer accesses, is completely written in ASP Dot Net 2.0 so it is easy and quick to modify and customize.
The Administration portion of the application is written in ASP Dot Net 2.0 using web services and is fully integrated into the regular Integral Accounting Enterprise 2007 application, and the Web services layer which manages the connections between the database and the administration presentation layer is written in VB Dot Net 2.0. The system, stores all of it's data in an SQL Server 2007 or SQL Server Express 2005. (SQL Server Express 2005 is the free version of SQL Server 2007). 
Since the Enterprise Help Desk System is built upon the same architecture as the Integral Accounting Enterprise 2007 system, it can support unlimited companies, unlimited divisions within each company, unlimited departments within each division, with an unlimited number of customers within each department. There are no built-in limits on the amount of users the system can support or on the the amount of servers that the system can run on. Since this is a multi-tier application, the tiers can be implemented across several servers for maximum performance.

The Multi-tier design of the Enterprise Help Desk application allows for unlimited scalability.
